SURVIVE Protocols Active

SURVIVE Protocols Active follows you, a new associate at CompCorp, trying to evacuate the premises with the help of... a helpful bot in the software, whose job it is to do repetitive tasks, such as searching for and replacing code, optimizing code, and keeping associate's alive within the facility.

This is a text-based puzzle game / trivia game, where the puzzle is a riddle, and the riddle is... guess the password of your co-workers' computers. If you don't, you'll surely die.

Because passwords in real life could be anything, it'll help going in to know some design principles for passwords in this game:

• There are (usually) multiple answers.
• Whitespace is ig  nor   e        d.
• Passwords are case iNsENsITIVe.
• Passwords are singular and there aren't any special characters.
• There's a UI bar to the left. Use the whole window to your advantage!

This has only been tested on Windows and Android so far.

If you are sensitive to flashing lights, be mindful that some words flash (similar to the provided screenshot).

Made for Game Jam 2020, the theme of which is "Out of Control."

Credits

The font effects (including the text shadow, but also the glitched text) come from the coding of HiEv from his Sample Code for Twine 2 / SugarCube 2.
